Thanks to the SCOAP³ initiative (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics), all authors can publish their high-energy physics (HEP) articles for free in the journals mostly used nowadays in the field. The eleven SCOAP³ journals currently cover about 90% of the field’s publications. SCOAP³ is the easiest solution to achieve Open Access as there are no administrative processes needed for individual articles. Therefore, SCOAP³ should be your first choice if you plan to publish a high-energy physics article.
